Some thoughts on the world's most popular thing's home page

Twitter's trending topics section on their revamped home page is nice, but I keep thinking it should scroll to more trending topics as my mouse moves over the fade on the right. Anyone else get that impression?

Gradient fades suggest mouse-gesture scrolling....I think.

Also, the topics that overlap the fade aren't clickable. Sucks to be Usain Bolt at 9:38AM Central Standard Time.

Links to the right of the red line cannot be clicked.

As I am a big advocate of not complaining about everything, I will say it overall is a very pretty page...
